1. Membership subscriptions are charged at institional level and cover the cost of access for all eleigible technical, special and managerial staffs within the member institution.
2. Once the institutional fee payment has been cleared appropriate documentation will be provided for circulation round the member institution in order to enable individual technical, special and managerial staff users to self-register individually.
3. Fees for 2010/2011 are set on a variable scale, dependent on the number of eligible technician users employed within the institution:
- 250 or more £3000
- Between 50 and 250 £1500
- Less than 50 £850
4. Fees cover the period 1st August - 31st July and payment shall be made in the manner detailed in the invoice supplied to the member institution.
5. Refunds will not be available except in execptional circumstances
6. Individual and host members will ensure that all usernames and passwords provided on registration to allow access to restricted areas are kept confidential and will not permit any person other than the registered user to access the service.
7. HEaTED endeavour at all times to provide relevant and up-to-date information and resources, but to the fullest extent permitted under the law the HEaTED website and its contents is provided on an ‘as is’ basis and makes no representation or warranties of any kind with respect to the site and its contents.
8. HEaTED is committed to protecting your personal information and will act in accordance with current legislation and aims towards meeting current best practice with regard to the processing of personal data wherever possible.
9. Any personal information provided by you or collected by us in connection with use of this site will be used to enhance your use of the service and to enable us to provide products and services which are tailored for your needs. We will not knowingly pass on personal information to any 3rd party without prior consent.
10. The onsite materials are provided by HEaTED for the sole use of the member institution and its registered users on condition that are accessed, viewed, downloaded, stored and used solely for the internal purposes of the registered member.
11. HEaTED acknowledges that the information and copyright in the member resources will be owned by the providing member. HEaTED is hereby granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty free licence to place and/or host such member materials on thiswebsite for the sole access of the registered users.
12. No copyright notices may be removed from the onsite materials and the member institutions shall ensure that their users do not remove any copyright notices from the onsite HEaTED materials.
13. HEaTED reserves the right to discontinue service provision to any member institution and/or individual registered users where they are deemed to be in breach of the above agreed terms of use of the website.
