The event: The HEaTED Regional Network aims to provide a forum for discussion and communication between Technical Managers, Technical staff, and Staff Development/HR colleagues from across the region.  The functions of the committee will be to promote the sharing of knowledge/skills/best practice amongst Technical staff, to promote and highlight need for training events, and increase awareness of facilities provided by member institutions and HEaTED.

Session 1 - Update on development of the HEaTED London Regional Network
The object of the session will be to consolidate and build on the excellent start at the inaugural meeting, and to develop the network, so that it will become an influential communication resource for Technical Staff and Managers in the region

Session 2 - Current trends in UK Universities: Enhancing Technical Managers’ Leadership role.
We will concentrate on:
·        Income generation
·        Exploring factors that contribute towards professional recognition
·        The Network input into HEaTED

Session 3 - Planning for the next HEaTED LRN meeting.  This will consider on how the network will take forward the three headline topics in session 2
