| Details: | The Department of Music at Glasgow University is home to an audio lab running number of audio and music software applications on Mac OSX and Digidesign audio hardware. This course provides an introduction to recording (microphones, phantom power gain staging, basic mic-placement techniques etc) and the use of several software packages (Pro Tools LE + plug-ins, Finale, Max/MSP, Garageband etc) with a particular focus on routine fault finding and troubleshooting. Course content can be tailored to the preference of those taking the course possibly to include the use of portable recording devices. |
