| Details: |
Delegates will carry out a practical exercise in which they will label cysteine sulphydryl groups with Carbon-14, observe a biochemical reaction and interpret their liquid scintillation counting results; contamination control will be practiced. Other exercises include contamination control, and an investigation of practical protection from radiation. In addition to DVD / video presentations and discussions, demonstrations will include 'opening a radioactive package', radiation monitoring and UV hazards. |
