This course will appeal to both the complete novice and to those with a basic understanding of the technique and who wish to develop their skills. (Those attending will be sorted into groupings of similar ability). Although the course will cover the theory of T.I.G. welding the emphasis will be in developing practical welding skills. Demonstrations will be provided of the skills required for welding a variety of materials including stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium. On completion of the course technicians will have developed their practical welding skills, will understand the theory of T.I.G. welding, will appreciate the safety implications and will be confident in preparing weld sites and electrodes for different materials. |
